Dimensions

24″ × 18″

Materials

Cover-weight paper stock; acid-free paper adhesive

unavailable / private collection

A bounty of paper produce tumbles off the page, including kale, chard, sweet peas, various tomatoes, beets, and kumquats. The greens, reds, and oranges are offset by a blue paper cast shadow. An angled view of the artwork shows the layered textures of the beets, tomatoes, and leafy greens. A close up reveals the sinuous textures of the beet greens and the stippled texture of the kale leaves amongst the curling thin lines of sweet pea vines. Another close up reveals the various colors and details in the tomatoes and kumquats. Another detail depicts the layering of various flowing greens in the leaves and various oranges and reds on the tomatoes. The full artwork is surrounded by a dark wood frame against a lighter but worn wood background.
I.

This was a thank you and belated birthday gift for one of my biggest supporters—thanks mom! It’s a tribute to all of the delicious fruits and vegetables that my parents nurture in their backyard.

This piece is a companion to The Bountiful Harvest No. 2: The Sea, which I made for my father.
