A large gray paper stockpot nestles in an abundance of paper seafood, include crab, lobster, prawns, various fish, clams, mussels, and seaweed. Lemons lay scattered on top.

A close up of the artwork shows the details of the fishes' scales, fins, and eyes, as well as the textures of the seaweed and shellfish.

Another close up reveals the textures of a fine seaweed.

The lobster is made of red paper with dark red detailing, with each shell plate layered one above the other. The crab is decorated with various paper details of oranges and yellows.

Another detail depicts the layering of various seaweed details amongst the shellfish and lemons.

The full artwork is surrounded by a dark wood frame against a lighter but worn wood background.

My father’s gift is a companion to The Bountiful Harvest No. 1: The Garden, which I made for my mother. While they both nurture an amazing garden and enjoy their seafood, this one is inspired by childhood memories of my dad fishing on the beach.
