Materials

Cover-weight paper stock; white colored pencil; acid-free paper adhesive

The trunks of two large evergreens part to reveal a small gray paper house at the foot of a hill. The artwork is shown against an amber cloth backdrop. The little gray paper house is surrounded by a lush green field, as seen between trees as sunset. A beam of sunlight illuminates some of the paper foliage. An angled close-up shows the details of edge lighting reflecting off the roof of the little gray house and the bushes surrounding it.
I.

Evening sunlight during the early summer sunlight is a magical thing. After a long day at work indoors, the balmy air rejuvenates the soul.

This piece was inspired by a rough approximation of the view from my home office, specifically when I looked up from my computer at the end of a day's work.
