Various shades of cool papers, with vague shapes of hills and land, float above a square of blue paper. A small moon floats above and thin lines like the moon's reflection dance below. The artwork sits on a gray paper background surrounded by a white frame. A small red paper bird perches on a set of blue paper rocks amidst orange-colored plants. The white background forms an abstracted body of water. The artwork is framed by a wooden surface. Three orange circles with intricate pink ornamentation vaguely represent the patterns on top of mooncakes. The three pieces float above a light pink paper. Green abstract leaves and plants are punctuated by tiny orange flower-like elements. Behind them are two blue abstracted hill on a white expanse. The square artwork lies on an angle above a sheet of orange paper and a swatch of white fabric.

Throughout the year, I made small paper sketches of objects and ideas that caught my fancy.

I.

On New Year’s day, I took a little jaunt across the bay and enjoyed the hazy blue view.

II.

Reflections from Monday. I originally wasn’t impressed with how this one turned out, but it’s starting to grow on me…

III.

I came across an old photo of a mooncake and thought, that pattern would be fun to cut.

IV.

I randomly doodled some leafy friends the other day. The sketch wasn’t half bad, so it became a little paper piece.
